High-temperature superconductors of family (RE)Ba2Cu3O7–δ and their application (Review Article)

The review is devoted 30-year-old anniversary of opening a high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) YBa2Cu3O7–δ. On its basis there was family of (RE)Ba2Cu3 O7–δ HTSC (the RE — rare earth), the found greatest practical application. The review consists of short history of opening YBa2Cu3O7–δ and five sections describing specified family: crystallography, phase diagrammes, manufacturing techniques, the basic superconducting properties, the application fields.
