Energy transfer to the low-frequency region of the turbulent spectrum of gravitational waves on the He II surface due to four-wave processes

This paper presents the results of an experimental study of the mechanism of energy transfer in a gravitational wave system on the surface of superfluid He II in a rectangular cell under intense monochromatic pumping. It is established, that under the conditions of discrete wave turbulence, energy is transferred from the pumping region not only to the high-frequency region along the turbulent cascade but also to the low-frequency region due to 4-wave processes, and this energy transfer mechanism is of a threshold nature.
