The exciton absorption spectrum of thin films of ternary compounds in the AgBr–PbBr2 system

Exciton absorption spectra in the photon energy range 2–6 eV were studied for thin films of complex compounds AgPbBr3, AgPb2Br5 and AgPb3Br7. It is established that the compounds belong to the direct-band dielectrics, low-frequency excitons are localized in the structural layers (PbBr8)6– of the crystal lattice and are quasi-two-dimensional in nature.
