The spatially modulated states of the order parameter fields as gauge (compensating) fields are considered. It is shown that in infinite physical systems inhomogeneous vacuum arises only due to the introduction of higher derivatives (for scalar fields) into Lagrangians. Possible phase transitions in systems with higher derivatives are investigated. Discrete variants of the spontaneous supersymmetry breaking in classical fields theories with higher derivatives are discussed.

Key words: gauge principle, spontaneous discrete supersymmetry breacking.
