On the issue of critical exponents universality in the quantum Hall effect regime

Abstract

The paper provides a critical analysis of works in the frame-work of the concept of two-parameter scaling, as well as a brief review of modern percolation models for the plateau-plateau quantum phase transition in the quantum Hall effect regime. The motivation for our work was to discuss the theoretical models for understanding the effect of overlapping and mixing of the densi-ties of localized and delocalized states at Landau levels on the universality of critical indices.
