Non-quantum oscillations caused by dynamics of an electron in superlattice

Oscillations caused by the classical motion of a Bloch electron in a spatially periodic structure of a period which considerably exceeds the interatomic distance are discussed. Among these phenomena are: (1) so-called Bloch oscillations of an electron in a constant homogeneous electrical field; (2) magnetoresistance oscillations connected with geometrical resonance wherein the diameter of the orbit of an electron in a magnetic field is commensurable with the superlattice period.
