Empirical evaluation of electron and phonon drag coefficients of dislocations in Pb- and Al-based alloys

The impurity concentration dependence of temperature threshold of low-temperature anomalies of plasticity associated with internal effects affecting the dislocation mobility is analyzed using the experimental data on kinetics of plastic flow in five lead and aluminum based fcc solid solutions. It is shown that the analysis permits the electron and phonon drag coefficient of dislocations in the metals and to be estimated and an empirical expression for temperature dependence of phonon drag at low temperature to be derived.
