Magnetic susceptibility of La0,875 Sr0,125 MnO3 under hydrostatic pressure up to 1 GPa

Abstract

The magnetic susceptibility of the single crystal La0,875 Sr0,125 MnO3 was measured under hydrostatic pressure up to 1 GPa. The Curie point TC and the temperatures of quantum phase transitions TM and TOO were estimated. The pressure dependence of these temperatures was determined: dTC/dP=18 K/GPa, dTM/dP =16 K/GPa, and dTOO/dP=22 K/GPa. The phase diagram obtained shows that variations in concentration x and applied pressure may have an identical effect on phase transitions.
