Transformation of watergel samples in liquid helium

Abstract

It is found that the form and the structure of watergel samples grown by condensing 4He gas, admixed with water vapours, on a superfluid He II surface cooled below 1.6 K essentially depend not only on conditions of taking mixture components but also on experimental cell construction. The results on evolution of the samples prepared in a wide cell 29 mm in dia with a small rate of mixture taking are considered.
