Electron transport in metal-oxide superconducting heterojunctions

We present a review of our results on electron transport properties of thin film Au/YBa2Cu3Ox and Nb/Au/YBa2Cu3Ox heterojunctions. Second harmonic has been experimentally observed in superconducting currentphase relation of Nb/Au/YBa2Cu3Ox heterojunctions on c-axis oxiented YBa2Cu3Ox films. Phase and temperature dependence of the second harmonic can be explained in terms of combined symmetry dx2-y2 + s of superconducting order parameter in YBa2Cu3Ox. Current-voltage curves of YBa2Cu3Ox and Nb/Au/YBa2Cu3Ox heterojunctions on thin (1 1 20)-oriented YBa2Cu3Ox films with tilted c-axis show zero bias anomaly conductance peak studied in high magnetic fields and at different temperatures. Obtained experimental results have been analyzed within the model of bound states caused by multiple Andreev reflection in heterojunctions with dx2-y2 + s -wave superconductors. Thermal and shot noise contributions have been observed in Nb/Au/(1 1 20)YBa2Cu3Ox heterojunctions at T = 4.2 K. However, no shot noise enhancement has been revealed in our experiments.
