Walevet transform and its application in tunneling and x-ray spectroscopy

Abstract

The potentialities and limitations of the walevet transform technique are demonstrated with two applications: investigations of magnetotunnel and extended x-ray absorption line structure spectroscopy signals. A short introduction to the walevet analysis is given. «Window size» is determined for the mother walevet function. It is one of the basic points for the criterion of the best mother function choice. The possibilities of a software package developed by the authors are demonstrated. The package was used to make all calculations needed during these investigations.
