Abstract

The lines and the most significant results of studies into fundamental magnetic properties of hexagonal ferrites at Kharkov National University during 50 years are reviewed. The Section on the modern subject «Nanophysics and Nanotechnology of Barium Ferrite» concerns the effects of the main factors (finite-size, surface and collective) specific to small particles and their ensembles on the evolution of magnetic properties at macro–nanocrystal transitions.
