Low-temperature deviations from the Bloch law in BaFe12O19 hexaferrite

Abstract

Temperature dependences of local fields on 57Fe nuclei in octahedral positions 12k, 4f2 and 2a of ferric ions in BaFe12O19 ferrite are studied by the NMR method. Consideration is given to the applicability of the Bloch spin wave theory in the description of these dependences. Deviations from the Bloch 3/2 power law are found in a temperature range 4,2–77 K. The derivations cannot be explained by the specific behavior attributed to the presence of an energy gap in the acoustic magnon spectra.
