Antiferromagnetic resonance in LaMnO3

Abstract

The external magnetic field and temperature dependences of the magnetic structure and AFMR frequencies in LaMnO3 are studied. The recently developed model involving orbit-dependent superexchange and single-ion anisotropy interactions is used. The temperature dependence is described in the mean-field approximation in good agreement with experiments. Phase diagrams H–T in the main field directions (a,b,c) are constructed. The problem of the origin of Mn3+ spins weak noncollinearity is solved. Also the optimal method of deriving an expression for magnetic free energy is proposed.
