Magnetic polarization of the quantized vortices in He II

The weak magnetic polarization of a quantized vortex in a superfluid Bose liquid is considered, the polarization being due to mutual electric polarization of atoms and non-uniform distribution of atomic density in the vortex core. The rectilinear onequantum vortex carries a magnetic moment that is directed along the vortex line and is proportional to its length. The linear magnitization density and the corresponding magnetic flux quantum (vortical fluxoid) are related directly to the quantum of velocity circulation of the superfluid flow in the vortex. Numerical estimations of the effect are given for vortices in He II.
