Quantum oscillations of thermomagnetic coefficients of layered conductors in a strong magnetic field

Abstract

A linear response of the electron system of a conductor to the perturbation in the form of electric field and temperature gradient in a quantizing magnetic field B is studied theoretically. Thermoelectric effect in a layered conductor is analyzed. It is shown that the quasi-two-dimensional character of the charge carrier dispersion law results in giant quantum oscillations of thermoemf.
