Abstract

The lecture notes reported at the XVII Ural International Winter School on Physics of Semiconductors(Ekaterinburg, 2008) are presented. The physical basis of quantum corrections to the conductivity of 2D systems due to quantum interference and electron-electron interaction is considered. Particular attention is given to the systems with spin-orbit interaction. It is shown that the main theoretical predictions are in accordance with experimental results.
