Three-dimensional static vortex solitons in incommensurate magnetic crystals

Abstract

A new type of three-dimensional magnetic solitons in a uniaxial ferromagnet is predicted with a simultaneous account of Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya interaction and external magnetic field. The static threedimensional solitons of a finite energy obtained by the numerically method are characterized by topological Hopf index H = 0 and a vortex structure. The soliton structure and the dependence on external magnetic field of energy are found. The asymptotic behavior of these solitons is investigated and a necessary condition for their existence is found.
