Abstract

The results of experimental and theoretical researches of diamagnetic domains in normal metals are reviewed. Much attention is given to a new effective method of a domain studying — muon spin rotation spectroscopy based on the measurement of induction by frequency of muon spin precession in a magnetic field. A number of the phenomena arising in condition with a presence of diamagnetic domains including unusual magnetostriction, a hysteresis in the de Haas van Alphen effect are discussed. The mechanism of nonlinearity at propagation of low-frequency electromagnetic waves in metals under strong magnetism of conduction electrons is considered.
