Quantum entanglement and quantum discord in magnetoactive materials (Review Article)

Abstract

The conceptions of quantum entanglement and quantum discord are reviewed. The entropic measures for these informational correlations are presented. The examples which demonstrate the presence of quantum information correlations in different paramagnetic materials with ferro- and antiferromagnetic couplings are given. The temperature behavior of the discord for atomic nuclear spins is considered. The decoherence of quantum states with electron and nuclear spins is discussed.
