Abstract

Smoluchowski equation and its generalizations, describing the merger of the particles, allow us to under-stand the basic stages formation of galaxy mass functions, established as a result of mergers, and their evolution and, thus, provide an explanation for the results of long-term observations on the Hubble Space Telescope and the large ground-based telescopes.
