Acoustic edge magnetoplasmons and quantum Hall effect

Coupling between non-equilibrium properties of integer channels and 2D acoustic edge magnetoplasmons (EMP) under quantum Hall effect conditions is discussed. It is shown, that in presence of integer strip near the edge of 2D system with the soft electron density profile some of 2D acoustic EMP have to be “killed”. Such an effect really exists It could be useful for diagnostic of integer channel properties as a function of finite external frequency.
