Specific features of magnetostriction at electron topological transitions in metals

Abstract

Specific features of magnetostriction in metals are theoretically studied in the case when the chemical potential of electrons is close to a critical energy of the electron energy spectrum at which the electron topological transition of 2½ or 3½ kind occurs. It is shown that an experimental investigation of the magnetostriction can be an effective tool in detecting these transitions in metals.
